Wenn nur einer weiß, wie es funktioniert

Es wirkt wie Vertrauen: eine Person, die Rechnungen, Backup und die Einstellung kennt, die niemand anfasst. In Wahrheit ist es ein Risiko mit freundlichem Gesicht — und es bleibt unsichtbar, bis diese Person nicht da ist.

Drei Fragen, die es zeigen

Wer kann diese Aufgabe sonst noch?
Wo liegt die Liste, das Passwort, der Zugang?
Was prüft man zuerst, wenn es ausfällt?

Wenn bei allen drei derselbe Name steht, ist der Befund da. Sie suchen noch keine Dokumentation — nur heraus, ob das Wissen irgendwo außerhalb eines Kopfes existiert.

Eine Stunde, kein Projekt

Kein Wiki anlegen. Einmal zusammensetzen und die drei wichtigsten Aufgaben aufnehmen oder aufschreiben — so, wie die Fachperson sie tatsächlich macht, inklusive des kleinen Schritts, der immer vergessen wird. Danach führt die zweite Person einen echten Fall aus, während die Fachperson zuschweigt und nur eingreift, wenn etwas kaputtginge.

Die Prüfung, die zählt

Wenn die Fachperson das nächste Mal eine Woche weg ist, bearbeitet die zweite Person einen echten Fall nur mit der Seite vor sich. Klappt das, ist das Wissen gewandert. Klappt es nicht, fehlt genau die eine Zeile — und die jetzt zu finden ist billiger als im Ernstfall.

Ein Kopf ist eine einzige Ausfallstelle. Zwei Köpfe sind ein Unternehmen, das Urlaub machen kann.

Three questions that show it

Who else can do this task?
Where does the list, the password or the login live?
What is the first thing to check when it fails?

If the answer to all three is the same name, you have your finding. You are not looking for documentation yet — only for whether the knowledge exists anywhere outside one head.

One hour, not a project

Do not start a wiki. Sit together once and record or write down the top three tasks — as the expert actually does them, including the small step they always forget to mention. Then let the second person run one real case while the expert stays silent and only intervenes when something would break.

The check that counts

The next time the expert is away for a week, the second person handles one live case with only the page in front of them. If that works, the knowledge moved. If it does not, exactly one line is missing — and finding it now is cheaper than finding it in an emergency.

One head is one point of failure. Two heads is a business that can take a holiday.

Wiki kurmayın. Bir kez oturun ve ilk üç işi kaydedin ya da yazın — uzmanın yaptığı haliyle, her seferinde söylemeyi unuttuğu küçük adım dahil. Sonra ikinci kişi gerçek bir vakayı yürütsün; uzman sussun, yalnızca bir şey bozulacaksa müdahale etsin.

Asıl sayılabilecek sınav

Uzman bir sonraki hafta ortada olmadığında ikinci kişi, önündeki sayfaya bakarak canlı bir vakayı çözsün. İşe yararsa bilgi taşınmış demektir. Yaramazsa tam olarak bir satır eksik — onu şimdi bulmak, acil durumda bulmaktan ucuzdur.
