Die Stunde, die niemand buchen kann

Vollkalender, nichts vorankommen. Die Ursache steht meistens im Kalender selbst: keine einzige Stunde pro Woche, die für niemanden buchbar ist. Diese Stunde gibt es nicht von selbst, und ohne sie wandert die eigentliche Arbeit in die Abendstunden — oder bleibt liegen.

Warum der Kalender sie nicht von selbst hergibt

Weil freie Zeit sofort vergeben wird. Eine offene Stunde gilt als Einladung, und wer sie nicht besetzt, bekommt sie spätestens am nächsten Morgen von jemandem anderen. Das ist kein schlechtes Team, das ist Norm: freie Zeit wird verteilt, gebundene nicht. Deshalb muss die Stunde als gebunden aussehen, damit sie nicht verteilt wird.

Die Stunde festnageln

Termin anlegen, wiederholend, für Sie selbst, mit einem Titel, der nichts verrät — „Fokus“ reicht, ein geheimnisvoller Titel ruft nur Nachfragen hervor. Ganze Stunden statt halber, denn halbe Stunden werden zerschnitten. Und am Anfang der Woche statt am Ende, sonst wandert sie bei der ersten Verschiebung nach hinten und kommt nicht wieder.

Was in die Stunde gehört

Eine Sache, die seit Wochen liegen bleibt und trotzdem wichtig ist. Nicht Postfach, nicht Planung, nicht Aufräumen — diese Dinge warten ohnehin nicht. Gut geeignet sind die Aufgaben, die niemand vermisst, solange sie nicht fertig sind: das Dokument, die Entscheidung, der Anfang eines Angebots, das noch niemand gesehen hat.

Wenn jemand trotzdem buchen will

Dann ist die Antwort eine Frage, nicht eine Absage: „Geht es Donnerstag oder Freitag?“ Verschieben ja, ausloeschen nein. Ausgelöscht wird die Stunde nur, wenn die Woche ohnehin kaputt ist — und dann am nächsten Tag wieder, als wäre nichts passiert. Nach vier Wochen sehen Sie, ob die Stunde hält: Wenn sie hält, steht etwas fertig, das sonst nie fertig geworden wäre.

Full calendar, nothing moving. The cause usually sits in the calendar itself: not one hour a week that nobody can book. That hour does not appear by itself, and without it the real work moves into the evening — or stays where it is.

Why the calendar does not hand it over

Because free time is booked immediately. An open hour reads as an invitation, and whoever does not occupy it gets taken by somebody else at the latest the next morning. That is not a bad team, that is the norm: free time is handed out, blocked time is not. So the hour has to look blocked, otherwise it will be handed out.

Nail the hour down

Create the appointment, recurring, for yourself, with a title that reveals nothing — “focus” is enough, a mysterious title only invites questions. Whole hours rather than half hours, because half hours get cut. And put it early in the week rather than late, otherwise it drifts to the back at the first reschedule and never comes back.

What belongs in the hour

One thing that has been lying around for weeks and still matters. Not the inbox, not planning, not tidying — those do not wait anyway. Good candidates are the tasks nobody misses while they are unfinished: the document, the decision, the start of a quote nobody has seen yet.

When somebody still wants to book it

Then the answer is a question, not a refusal: “Would Thursday or Friday work?” Moving it yes, dropping it no. The hour only gets dropped when the week is broken anyway — and then it comes back the next day as if nothing happened. After four weeks you can see whether it holds: if it holds, something is finished that otherwise never would have been.

Saati çivileyin

Tekrarlayan, yalnızca size ait, hiçbir şey söylemeyen bir başlıkla randevu oluşturun — “odak” yeter, gizemli başlık yalnızca soru çağırır. Yarım saat yerine tam saat, çünkü yarım saatler bölünür. Haftanın başında olsun, sonunda değil; ilk ertelemeye takılırsa geriye kayar ve bir daha dönmez.

Saat neyle dolu olsun

Haftalardır bekleyen ama yine de önemli olan tek bir iş. Gelen kutusu değil, planlama değil, toplama değil — bunlar zaten beklemez. Bitmeden kimsenin özlemediği işler uygundur: belge, karar, kimsenin görmediği bir teklifin başlangıcı.

Yine de biri ayırmak isterse

O zaman cevap bir reddetme değil, bir sorudur: “Perşembe mi Cuma mı uygun?” Ertelenir, silinmez. Saat yalnızca hafta zaten bozuksa silinir — ve o zaman ertesi gün hiçbir olmamış gibi geri gelir. Dört hafta sonra dayanıp dayanmadığını görürsünüz: dayanıyorsa, hiç bitmeyecekken biten bir şey vardır.
