Der Scanner scannt nicht mehr: vier Prüfungen vor dem Neukauf

Ein Scanner, der seit heute nichts mehr scannt, ist fast nie kaputt. Meist hat sich etwas um ihn herum verändert — und das lässt sich in zehn Minuten prüfen.

Die vier Prüfungen

Netz und Verbindung: den Scan vom Gerät starten statt vom Computer. Funktioniert das, ist die Verbindung das Problem, nicht der Scanner.
Der richtige Computer: Viele Büroscanner liefern nur an den Rechner, auf dem sie installiert wurden. Wer am Platz des Kranken scannt, bekommt oft nur eine leere Vorschau.
Warteschlange: Ein abgebrochenes Scan-Projekt blockiert das nächste. Druck- und Scanwarteschlange leeren, dann neu starten.
Treiber nach dem Update: Nach einem Windows- oder macOS-Update ist der alte Treiber oft weg. Gerät ab- und wieder anmelden reicht meist.

Wann ein neuer Scanner wirklich Sinn ergibt

Wenn das Gerät älter als acht Jahre ist und kein aktueller Treiber mehr existsiert, ist ein neuer Scanner die ehrliche Antwort. Bis dahin sind die vier Prüfungen schneller als der Versandweg.

The four checks

Power and connection: start the scan from the device instead of the computer. If that works, the connection is the problem, not the scanner.
The right computer: many office scanners only deliver to the machine they were installed on. Scanning from a colleague's desk often shows an empty preview.
The queue: one cancelled scan job blocks the next one. Clear the print and scan queues, then start again.
Driver after an update: after a Windows or macOS update the old driver is often gone. Removing and re-adding the device usually fixes it.

When a new scanner actually makes sense

If the device is over eight years old and no current driver exists, a new scanner is the honest answer. Until then, the four checks are faster than any delivery.

Yeni tarayıcı ne zaman gerçekten mantıklıdır

Cihaz sekiz yaşından eskiyse ve güncel sürücüsü kalmamışsa yeni tarayıcı dürüst cevaptır. O zamana kadar dört kontrol, kargodan hızlıdır.
