Lesen Sie ab, was in der Anmeldung steht — nicht, was Sie tippen möchten.
Login works as always on one computer, and the same password is refused on the second. The obvious conclusion — “I typed it wrong” — is usually wrong. Four checks before you reset the password and break the one account that still works.
Check one: which username
Passwords belong to accounts, not to devices. On the working computer you may be logged in with an old address, a local account line or a work-account extension, on the second one with the new one. Read what the login field contains — not what you intend to type. Very often the username is the difference, not the password.
Check two: typed or filled in
On the working computer the browser or the password manager fills in — there a stored, possibly outdated password sits. Where you type yourself, the current one applies. Test cleanly: close the password manager, type the password by hand once. The result tells you which of the two is valid right now.
Check three: local or bound account
Some accounts exist on one device only because they were created locally; others are bound to a domain or provider and do not run elsewhere. Check whether the account exists on the second computer at all before you reset it via “forgot password”. A reset is no check, it only forces a second attempt.
Check four: store it in one place afterwards
After the reset: put the same password in one place, not on a note at the edge of the screen and not in three browsers. Also note which account belongs to which computer. The next “only works here” message is then explained in two minutes instead of costing another hour.
Sonuç, ikisinden hangisinin şu an geçerli olduğunu söyler.
