The battery is the most expensive part of the guess, so it should be the last one. Three checks take ten minutes, need no tools, and tell you which of the three it actually is.
1. A second cable
Borrow a charger before you order one. Laptop cables fail at the connector, where they are bent every day, and the failure looks exactly like a dead battery: no light, no charging icon, nothing. If the machine charges with the other cable, the diagnosis is finished.
2. A second port and a look inside
Some laptops charge only through one specific port. Try the other side, another socket, another wall outlet. Then look at the connector with a light: dust, lint from the bag, a bent contact. A dry cotton swab removes most of it. Do not use metal.
3. The hard reset
Unplug the charger, hold the power button for fifteen seconds, then connect it again. This drains the mainboard's residual charge and unsticks a charging circuit that has stopped responding. It fixes more than it should.
When it really is the battery
Windows writes a report for this: powercfg /batteryreport. It compares design capacity with the capacity the battery still holds. If the second cable charges the laptop but the battery drops from 40% to 0% under load, you have your answer — and a number to compare when shopping.
Ten minutes with a second cable saves a battery purchase that was never needed.
Batarya, tahminlerin en pahalısıdır; o yüzden en sona kalır. Üç kontrol on dakika sürer, alet istemez ve hangisi olduğunu size söyler.
1. Başka bir kablo
Sipariş vermeden önce bir şarj ağızlığı ödünç alın. Dizüstü kabloları her gün büküldükleri yerde, uçlarında kopar ve bu, ölmüş bir bataryayla tamamen aynı görünür: ışık yok, şarj simgesi yok, hiçbir şey yok. Makine başka kabloda şarj oluyorsa teşhis bitmiştir.
3. Sıfırlama
Şarj aağını çıkarın, güç düğmesine on beş saniye basılı tutun, sonra tekrar takın.
İkinci kabloyla on dakika, hiç gerek olmayan bir batarya alışverişini engeller.
