Was hält dich gerade auf? Was hast du ohne mich entschieden?
Fifteen minutes a week, two people, no mandatory agenda. Nothing spectacular — and that is exactly why things happen there that never happen in the team round: somebody says what is not running, before it has not run for three weeks.
What it is not
Not a status meeting: the team round already has the status. Not an annual form, not a rating, not a telling-off. Whoever associates the word “conversation” in the calendar with a form arrives with a resolution — and brings nothing. That is why the invitation carries no subtitle.
Three questions, no more
What is holding you up right now? What have you decided without me? What should I stop doing? The second question is the best one: it shows where you are not needed anyway, and the third shows where you are in the way. After that ten minutes are gone, and usually the other person has said more than you.
Two rules
A fixed slot that does not move — moved once and half of Monday is ruined, after that it moves every week. And: you speak last. After the talk write one sentence about what was agreed; without that sentence it was a nice chat.
After six weeks
Then you see patterns: the same blockage twice, a decision that never came, a person who only ever answers instead of asking. Those patterns are the real benefit — not the conversation itself, but what repeats in six of them.
Haftada on beş dakika, iki kişi, zorunlu gündem yok.
Şu an seni ne engelliyor?
